Advanced EANx Diver

Purpose

  • Develops diving skills and provides a greater understanding of the EANx Concept of diving

  • Use of mixes 21% - 50% oxygen

  • Qualifies divers to do dive to 42 msw and do decompression stops required dives up to 15 minutes

Prerequisites

  • Be a EANx Diver and Deep Diver or sufficient experience to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training

  • Minimum of 30 logged dives

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 120 minutes of OW bottom time completed within 4 dives (2 dives must between 30 - 42 msw)

  • To teach the use of EANx mixtures (EAN50) of decompression may be used

  • To calculated at the deepest depth to which the gas will be switched.

Technical Diver

Purpose

  • To train the divers to conduct dives to depths between 30 - 51 maw using custom blend breathing gas mixtures

  • Provide greater understanding of custom blend breathing gas mixtures, a complete knowledge of the limits of any EANx mixture, and the use of EANx and oxygen for decompression

Prerequisites

  • Be an Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent

  • Minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 30 were deeper than 27 msw (90 fsw) or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 220 minutes of OW bottom time completed within 4 dives (2 dives must between 39 - 51 msw)

  • To teach the use of Oxygen and EANx for decompression stops

  • Maximum of 2 stage bottles may be carried

Noromoxic Trimix Diver

Purpose

  • Train those who wish to dive to depths between 39 msw and 60 msw, but who do not wish to breather air below 39 msw

Prerequisites

  • Be an Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent

  • Minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 30 were deeper than 27 msw (90 fsw) or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 300 minutes of in water training time and a minimum of 4 dives using Air, EANx or Trimix

  • 3 of the dives must be deeper than 39 maw and at least 1 dive bust be to 54 msw

Note : OC Divers who are already qualified as Technical Divers or Cave Divers or IANTD Wreck Divers may have the 2 air or EANx dives credited and only need to do a minimum of 2 Trimix dives between depths of 39 msw and 60 msw

Trimix Diver

Purpose

  • Designed for those individuals already involved in deep diving activities, but is not intended to be used as an enticement to divers who are content to remain in Sport or EANx diving limits.

  • Afford a safer means for deep-water exploration for divers who dive deep or perform with a clear head of depth.  The IANTD Trimix Diver Program requires the diver to be self-sufficient/reliant.

NOTE : The knowledge and skills taught in this program are more than adequate to qualify divers to perform Trimix Dives outside of training up to 333 fsw (100 msw).

Prerequisites

  • Be a Technical Diver or equivalent

  • Minimum of 200 logged dives, of which at least 25 were to depths between 42 and 60 msw (140 and 200 fsw) or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 300 minutes of dive time including the skill training in either confined water or OW dive

  • 8 dives, a minimum of 4 trimix dives

  • Max 75 msw

Cavern Diver

Purpose

  • This Program is designed to develop Cavern diving skills within the limits of light penetration and to insure that divers are aware of self-responsibility and capable of risk management in overhead environments.

  • How deep can you dive with the IANTD Cavern Diver Program?
    • No dives may be conducted to depths greater than diver’s previous certification level.

Prerequisites

  • Be an Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent

  • Minimum of 10 logged dives

  • Minimum of 15 years old for Diver qualification with a parent or guardian authorisation, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval

Program Content

  • A minimum of 100 minutes of OW bottom time

  • 1 confined water session and a minimum of 4 overhead environment

Introductory Cave Diver (OC, CCR)

Purpose

  • This Program is designed to provide an introduction to the cave diving environment for Sport Divers.

Prerequisites

  • Open Circuit

    • Must be qualified as an IANTD Wreck Diver or IANTD Cavern Diver or equivalent

    • Must provide proof of a minimum of 30 logged dives

    • Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with a parent or guardian authorisation, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval

  • Rebreather

    • Must be qualified as IANTD Rebreather Diver or equivalent

    • Must provide proof of a minimum of 36 logged dives, 25 of which were on the rebreather to be used

    • Must be a minimum of 17 years of age with a parent or guardian authorisation, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval

Program Content

  • Open Circuit

    • A minimum of 100 minutes of cave time bottom time

    • 1 confined water session

    • A minimum of 4 dives, if previously quailed as a Cavern Diver

    • A minimum of 6 dives, if doing the Introductory Cave Diver as entry level overhead diving program

    • Max 39 msw

  • Rebreather

    • A minimum of 160 minutes of cave time bottom time

    • 1 confined water session

    • A minimum of 4 dives, if previously quailed as a Rebreather Cavern Diver

    • A minimum of 6 dives, if doing the Rebreather Introductory Cave Diver as entry level overhead diving program

    • Max 39 msw

Cave Diver (OC, CCR)

Purpose

  • This Program is designed to train divers in safe cave diving

Prerequisites

  • Open Circuit

    • Must be qualified as an IANTD Introductory Cave Diver or equivalent

    • Must provide proof of a minimum of 50 logged dives

    • If not qualified as Introductory Cave Diver, must have proof of 100 dives or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years old

  • Rebreather

    • Must be qualified as IANTD Rebreather Diver on the unit to be used

    • Rebreather must have 20 dives with 35 hours of dive time on the Rebreather.

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • Open Circuit

    • If already NOT qualified as Introductory to Cave Diver,

      • a minimum of 500 minutes of cave bottom time

      • 12 cave dives

    • If already qualified as Introductory to Cave Diver,

      • a minimum of 400 minutes of cave bottom time

      • 8 cave dives

    • 1 confined water session

    • Max 39 msw, qualified Normoxic Trimix Divers and Rebreather Normoxic Trimix Divers may be trained in caves at depths between 30 msw and 60 msw provided there are no alternative locations, that allow the cave program to be taught in depths more shallow than 39 msw

  • Rebreather

    • If already NOT qualified as Rebreather Introductory to Cave Diver

      • a minimum of 600 minutes of cave bottom time

      • 10 rebreather cave dives, if previously quailed as a Rebreather Cavern Diver

    • If already qualified as Rebreather Introductory to Cave Diver

      • a minimum of 360 minutes of cave bottom time

      • 6 rebreather cave dives, if previously quailed as a Rebreather Introductory Cave Diver

    • Max 39 msw, qualified Normoxic Trimix Divers and Rebreather Normoxic Trimix Divers may be trained in caves at depths between 30 msw and 60 msw provided there are no alternative locations, that allow the cave program to be taught in depths more shallow than 39 msw

Technical Wreck Diver

Purpose

  • To train divers in extended wreck penetration diving and the technical utilisation of EANx for wreck exploration and the use of EANx and oxygen for decompression

Prerequisites

  • Be a Technical Diver or equivalent

  • Minimum of 100 logged dives

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 240 minutes of OW bottom time to be completed within at least 6 wreck penetration dives

  • 2 confined water sessions and total 9 dives

Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR)

Purpose

  • Train competent divers in the safer use and technology of CCR for dives requiring up to 15 minutes of decompression.   It is also especially useful to train divers who wish to dive up to 48 msw if using diluent with helium or 42 msw if using air as a diluent 

Prerequisites

  • Be a Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent

  • Minimum of 17 years old

Program Content

CCR Normoxic Trimix Diver

Purpose

  • Train divers in the safer use of Rebreathers for dives using normoxic helium-based gas mixture

Prerequisites

  • Be a Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent

  • Be a Closed Circuit Rebreather Diver or equivalent

  • Must have 20 dives and 25 hours on the breather being used

  • Minimum of 100 logged dives

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 300 minutes of in water training time and a minimum of 4 dives using Trimix

  • 3 of the dives must be deeper than 39 MSW and at least 1 dive must be 54 msw

CCR Trimix Diver

Purpose

  • Train divers in the safer use and technology of Rebreathers for deep diving to depth in excess of 60 msw

Prerequisites

  • Be a Normoxic Rebreather Diver or must be qualified as either (OC) Normoxic Trimix Diver or (OC) Trimix Diver

  • 50 hours of dive time is required on the specific Rebreather for which the diver is being trained

  • Minimum of 200 logged dives

  • Minimum of 18 years old

Program Content

  • A minimum of 330 minutes of dive time including the skill training in either confined water or OW dive

  • At least 4 trimix dives

  • 1 dive must be to at least 72 msw or deeper

  • Max 75 msw

EANx Gas Blender

Purpose

  • Designed to train competent personnel in the safe handling of oxygen and the preparation of EANx

Prerequisites

  • Be an Advanced EANx Diver or must have a need to become a blender (such as working for an EANx training or full service facility)

  • Must be recommended by an IANTD instructor or Facility to be qualified to service specific brands or equipment for EANx use, the blender must be a Qualified Technician with the manufacturer of the equipment being serviced

Program Content

  • 4 lectures with 1 day of hands-on experience preparing EANx

Trimix Gas Blender

Purpose

  • Designed to train competent personnel in the safe handling of oxygen and the preparation of Trimix and Heliox

Prerequisites

  • Be a Trimix Diver or must be qualified as an EANx Gas Blender and have a need to become a Trimix Blender (such as working for a training or full service facility)

  • Must be recommended by an IANTD instructor or Facility

Program Content

  • 4 lectures with 1 day of hands-on experience preparing mixtures with helium
